Please identify this snake

Hi guys can you identify this type of snake,killed by my night sentry guards.Location:Mombasa, Kenya,East Africa.

If i saw the head i would know better since house snakes have pretty distinctive head marking (generally may also depend on the type of house snake). __________________ Daniel
