Talking Newbie and Soon-to-be Python Mom

Hi all!

I'm Maya, new to the forum but have been a fan of Lizards, snakes, and amphibians my whole life. Right now I'm planning to build a bioactive tank for for a ball python; haven't gotten the snake yet so im still playing with that idea. For now i have a nerve plant (Fittonia albivenis) that i know survives well in humid settings and specifically in a terrarium environment. I'm so excited to build a community here and learn more about snakes!! Please let me know if you have any tips for a first-time snake owner and anything else you think may help !!

Bioactive enclosures are super cool- keep us updated.
(I recommend The Bio Dude for high-quality bioactive supplies- just my two cents.)
