An Observation on Sleep
*I'm writing this around 1am, so forgive my lazy grammar mistakes.
But I felt a need to share a peculiar and interesting thing I noticed about Copper.
I always knew that corn snake sleeping patterns vary depending on the animal, but I've finally figured out a pattern to Copper's sleep. He always tends to be up around the same time he's shed in the past "cycle" (for lack of a better word). He's up in the mornings, afternoons, and almost always whenever he last shed.
For example, the reason I'm up at 1am right now is because his last shed happened around 12pm-1am, so he's active right now (making lots of noise in his leaf litter). I started noticing this a few sheds back, but I think my brain only just put it all together. Every time he shed at night, he'd be out and about (I'd notice it because it'd wake me up) around the same time of night. If he shed while I as gone during the day, my mom would notice he'd be very active during mid-day for the next months.
Nothing I'm worried about, just something I found very interesting in my current, groggy state.
