Both of my hognoses seem to want to escape

Hello i have 2 western hognoses the first one i got about a year ago and she seemed to always want to escape the cage slithering on the edges trying to climb up the side. I thought it was just her but i just recently bought a 2nd one and she is doing the same thing and im not sure why or what i should do if this is bad,

When I first brought home my male Western Hognose he spent all his time trying to escape. He would crawl up a corner until the tip of his tail was the only thing touching the ground, then loose his balance and fall back down. I was afraid he would hurt himself. They are terrible climbers, though very motivated.

They all want to escape at least periodically. What else have they got to do when they've explored the whole thing and aren't currently busy digesting? My rosy boa went on an escape artist spree this year until she's bricked into her tank. Even my poor climbing terrestrial snakes can be found cramming on tank rims occasionally until they get too big. It's common for the corns and king snake to be suspended in what looks like some impossible method checking the lid. I had to adjust a baby pine snake enclosure because they kept hanging from the center support bars or initially squishing up on the lips under the edge of the mesh until they grew a little. Then they'd get all pissy when the cats were allowed to wander for the day and walked over the mesh above them. Occasionally they'd try to threaten noise we made in the room, a cat appearing, or react to a larger bull snake deciding to put on a noisy display in a nearby enclosure and you'd hear *plop* as they unbalanced themselves.
