Unfortunate Story

Did anyone see this story a couple days ago (link below)? This was totally unnecessary. While I can understand being a bit freaked out having a boa attached to your face and head, this woman still had the wherewithal to call 911 and describe the situation. As stated at the bottom of the article, a couple drops of alcohol (or cold water, or vinegar, etc.)would have done the trick. She also could have instructed the first responders to simply unwind from the tail as well. This was a 5'6" snake we're talking about, it wasn't cutting off her breathing/circulation, and didn't need to be killed to solve the situation.
