I get to do weight lifting when trying to hold him and take pics because pretty soon I can't hold my arm up with him wrapped around it lol and he still seems thin from coming out of brumation, going to a new home, having mostly breeding on his mind, and then going into shed. I did get him to eat a small rat in shed and he had 2 gerbils since. I am thawing a young guinea pig because I don't have a good source of rats yet (first litter is 4 days old) and he refused the larger "medium" pet store rat. Trying to meet up with a guy who sells his quality excess from ball python breeding locally but he's only in town once a week and last time was mother's day.
