Unknown snake

Not my snake, but I've been asked to help identify it. Not even sure if this is the right forum section. I'm thinking it's a brown rat snake, but I'm not sure. There is some iridescence to the scales, but I don't know if it shows up well here.

I'd say Epicrates maurus, brown rainbow boa. So that would make this the wrong subforum
