Arriving at some point...
A shelter contact asked if I would be interested in her son's grumpy yearling carpet. At first I said no since I'm not really interested in grumpy snakes. Then of course she sent a picture...so yeah new one coming soon

Maybe it's just grumpy because it's not liking it's current situation. Hopefully it becomes a calmer snake in your care.

I'm not a fan of grumpy snakes either but that is one nice JCP. And since it's still a youngin I'd take a chance on him too.

Stunning carpet, sounds like you have a winner. If all that didn't turn him into a bite machine I'm sure with proper care and tap training he'll be a perfect snake and an awesome display snake.

Whoa easy on the anti-beard micro aggressions. That is an incredible rescue. If I would have stumbled upon an animal like this then I too would be in the carpet club. Fortunately most I have seen have been just brown on brown.
