I've succumbed to a real impulse purchase! Very happy with it!
I'm not one for buying on impulse, but this time I was left no choice! Very excited though! It has Not been a good week for me... One of my snakes is not doing well, my computer broke, and my workplace is grim due to 2 unexpected recent deaths.. Anyway long story short, life sucks sometimes. I needed snake food and there were Finally XXL rabbits available so I drove to my favourite store.. Then I fell in love! There in the corner I saw 2 of the most beautiful snakes i had ever seen! Immediatly cheered me up. They weren't cheap, but I know the owner and got a discount. I just could Not leave without them.. I couldn't resist! So I gave them to myself for my upcoming birthday Especially hard to resist considering how hard it is to find proper bcc here without them being muddied with Colombian blood at some point. They are wildcaught/farmbred Suriname BCC.. A couple, and both so different from each other I feel like I got the best out of the possible range of diversity! They weren't very aggressive, a little bit nervous and mild nippy but nothing too bad for non captive bred redtails. The female had a tick on her when she came in, the tick came off and the mark isn't very bothersome. But I still hope it clears up with a few sheds, will keep a close eye on her. They're already established eaters so not worried in that aspect. They have no names yet, and had to stay together during the night as I only had 1 usable quarantine tub ready, that will change today though.
The male is creamy white with broad saddles and a cherry red tail, the female is peach pink with sharp thin saddles and a cherry red tail. They were stressed enough so I only took a few quick phone pictures of them late at night (flash washed out a bit) but I'm pretty sure it's not hard to tell why I'm so excited about them! Due to their size I estimate them born in 2015. No computer available so uploading through phone!

Beautiful animals and as Mother Goddess stated, you have to treat yourself every once in a while; you deserve it. It's great to know that these beauties are in such a good home.

Just stunning and I'm insanely jealous. I specifically didn't look at the Guyanan bcc I initial went to see as I knew I wouldn't be able to resist.
I will get one though!

Re: I've succumbed to a real impulse purchase! Very happy with it!
Hey sometimes impulses are the best. XD My husband hates that, but man, that rush on finding something pretty at last second I think is prolly why some folks here have so many snakes, it's just so hard to resist, haha.
Congrats! I love the peachy girl's thin little saddles, and I love both of their cherry tails, those are really bright! I love the markings on this species of boa's heads, they always look like leaves. .)
