Enigma Syndrome

So its been a while since I've been here. My life has been crazy.

We have been struggling with the health of our Leopard Gecko. With some studying I think our little guy might have Enigma Syndrome.

Getting this guy to eat and do a full shed has been very difficult. He is unable to catch and hold onto the super worms we have been feeding him. When he notices there is food he will start looking left and right behind him, continuously swinging his head back and forth. When he does strike he misses or drops it and gets very stressed and starts spinning. So he is hand fed. He went a span of not eating for 6 weeks and has lost a lot of weight. He looks thin. We recently have been able to get him to eat some. He is eating 1-2 super worms every other day. He looses interest after that, and just avoids the tongs and superworm.

When he sheds, he does not get the shed off of his feet and toes, even with a humid hide. So we have taken to soaking and then trying to gently remove the skin with tweezers. It doesn't always work.

Has anyone else dealt with this condition and know of anything else I can do to help?

Some general Info:

Substrate : Aspen Bedding
Hot Side : 87*
Cold Side 74*
Hides: 2, one on cold one of hot
Free fed superworms, don't think he is eating any. (They escape out of my feeding container, so hard to count)
Eats from tongs every other day, but only will eat 1-2 worms
He is still pooping, but its only 1-2 a week
He is not handled at all except for cleaning and weighing once a month.
