Need ID of central Oklahoma snake.

I found this little guy under a mattress on the side of my in laws house. I haven't been able to identify it.

Love the Dekay's! The ones I've caught have been pretty feisty. But their mouth is too small to actually bite or get a grip. Really cool snakes. Nice find.

Really? I've never had one try to bite me and I must have picked up 50-100 of them over the years.

Myself either. This one could be a cool locality color of Dekay's. Is it possible it could be a juvenile garter snake with neat color?

I've been out hiking quite a bit and just saw my first snake this weekend and not nearly as many frogs and toads. I blame the dang wild house cats that are everywhere..
