Update on Loki, little troubled snake.
Little Loki, i wish he would stop having issues for once. .. When i got him he turned out to have mites, then he had a (rubbing) eye injury that needed salving to heal, which caused him to go off food for a long time (Very sensitive and shy snake). It healed and i have had him eating properly for a couple of months now... He had a random bad shed, i could not find the eyecaps (1000pieces) and i suspected they did not come off even thought it was hard to see. The conditions were identical to what they have been for months, but i gave him a him a moist moss hide for his next shed anyway. He did shed a lot better but still in pieces, found the eyecaps this time. However i still think the old ones are on there.. His eyes do not seem dry, his vision does not seem impaired, but there is a clearly visible white rim alongside the edge of both his eyes, mostly visible with flash photography. Contemplating what to do with this, rather not have him go off food again he is already smaller than he should be and the mandatory move might have caused some stress already. Measured him today at 3 foot and 11 inches, which is pretty small for a year old Burmese python... At least he hás been growing now, which is a big improvement from before.
Such a cute little guy, but really a problem child..

He really is a troubled child , although one of the most beautiful labs I've ever seen. Let's just hope he's turned the corner for you

I surely hope so Dave, tonight i'll try to feed him. I hope he eats, if he continues eating i will try to get the caps off after digesting.

Re: Update on Loki, little troubled snake.
Thanks everyone, i love his looks so much and i spend a lot of time to find a labyrinth like this. Last labyrinth i had was a genetic nightmare and only lived 2 years, theyre a rarity around here as well. Had to travel very far for this little guy, forgot who even found him for me but it was from this forum. Im really happy he didnt let moving ruin his appetite! He is also becoming less shy, sticks his head out when i walk by. Doubt he'll become a true giant, but that's ok.. as long as he becomes a healthy adult I'll be thrilled!

Re: Update on Loki, little troubled snake.
Glad to hear things are looking up. He's definitely small for his age but still looks very healthy. He is gorgeous though and I look forward to seeing his progress!
