How can i bring my snake with me if i move?

I plan on moving soon, i don't know the best way to bring my snake with me. Can my snake come on a 20+ hour drive with me without getting too stressed out?

If you put your snake in a pillow case tied at the top with an overhand knot and place the pillowcase in a cardboard box in an area that it will not be bumped around or exposed to excessive heat or cold, it should be just fine. That said, it would be helpful if we knew what kind of snake you're transporting, (i.e. a very large constrictor would be a lot more difficult than a 3 ft milk snake). Also, you want to check the state laws for snakes that may be restricted in the area you're moving to. For example in Georgia, it is illegal to own any kind of corn snake no matter what the morph is) Just some thoughts...

Just bring in the box to your hotel room/motel room with you at night.

You also have the option of leaving it with a friend who is snake friendly. Once you're moved you can arrange to have it shipped if the friend is comfortable in doing so.

If the duration of the trip is your concern. You dont need to worry. As lang as the temps are in a resonable range it wont be an issue. A friend of mine who has over 40 snakes just moved and some of them were in their transport containers for 3 days before shelves and terrariums were assembeled to get them back into their homes.
