Red face New here,help

In California,Can I legally sell venom or live Pacific coast rattlesnakes to antivenom producers ? If so I would be grateful if someone could school me on this subject I.e.:buyers, legal issues, equipment needed. I'm interested in the shortage of rattlesnake antivenom and it is within my capacity to locate and capture this species of snake.

Re: want to learn

Please don't post the same thread in four (five including your noobie post, but I left that one alone) different sections.

Labs don't buy venom from people that catch them in the wild anymore. They get the venom from suppliers that have captive raised animals who breed their own. As far as CAN you do it? Check with the county and state Dept. of Natural Resources.

Re: want to learn

You will most likely need to go to great lengths to be a venom source for antivenin companies and thats IF they choose to use you as a supplier. If I remember right, it is illegal to buy or sell antivenin from anyone besides the manufacturer in the US.
