5 sheds in 5 days
So six of my snakes decided this would be a good week to get rid of their old skin. Five are done and the sixth is looking like she might remove it tonight (she's scratching her face on her cage). But as I'm leaving early in the morning until Monday and I don't want to bother my friend who will check in on the snakes for pictures, I figured I would share what I've got with you guys now.
62.5% sd anery tiger
Motley het albino 25% dwarf
Albino motley citron
100% sd het anery
My picky eater. Goldenchild het albino 50% jampea. Not a single rosette or saddle on her!
Closeup of her face before...
She decided to be shy.
And something new that I bought. A skull from an 8ft burm that died of an ri (not mine).

This.. this started out so pretty and got so... gross.
Seriously though, gorgeous snakes. The first two are incredible and I even love your albino citron, and I'm usually not a big fan of albino stuff... the color fade on it is amazing, tho.
I'd love to see better pics of the GC from a better angle sometime - I love Goldenchilds (Goldenchildren? lol).

Thanks. The skull actually makes an awesome educational tool. It allows me to show how a snake opens their mouth to eat and how they have 6 rows of teeth.
I'll get some better shots of the gc when I get back on Monday. She glows in natural light. She's got a very nice dark gold color in the right light.

Gotcha! Lol. It was a fart thankfully. No piles to clean up before I left for the airport this morning.

You have beautiful snakes. I love that motley citron. Cool skull, too. I recently purchased a real dog skull off craigslist. Makes a great hide or cool piece of decor in the enclosure.

Thanks. I've got 8 retics actually and they can definitely be a handful at times.

Eh, they're not too bad. The biggest girl (last measured at 15ft and 80 lbs) is with a friend being bred so for the time being I don't even have to worry about those.

Re: 5 sheds in 5 days
I just find my snakes that feed on rats have much stinkier poops than the ones that eat mice. Is it worse with rabbits? Obviously bigger but are they as smelly?

Re: 5 sheds in 5 days
I don't really notice a difference. It all stinks. The only thing that is noticeably worse is when I feed pigs for several meals in a row. I stopped doing that because then it smells like rotten pork...

Re: 5 sheds in 5 days
Yeah... it's pretty bad. I won't feed a pig more than once every month. I try to never feed them but if I can't get something else and I've got some on hand I'll use them.
