What happens if you feed rodent thats not fully thawed?

What are the consequences? I would just like to know as a general fact... (pertaining to snakes specifically)

As long as it's mostly thawed there shouldn't be any issue. The snake will probably be on the hot side anyways while digesting and their stomach juices can dissolve it without issue.

I find alot of my snakes wont take a prey item at all if its not a bit warm but as stated dont see any harm if a cooled food item is taken.

I'm pretty sure that if a prey item is still partly frozen it can be dangerous for the animal. I don't have a source but I remember books really emphasizing fully thawed prey. I'll do some googling.

Don't do it. The Learning Center - Live (F/K) vs Frozen (F/T)
