Is adult mice enough for this python?

Hey everyone, my cousin recently got a ball python at a reptile show and forgot to ask the breeder what size mice she war eating. So he asked a vendor selling mice and he felt the snake bag and said "adult mice will do"...sold him these adult mice. The snake is probably 30 inches or more, but my cousin think it maybe too small so he might need two or maybe one of the next size. What do you guys think? I said go with the thickest part of it's body...but he said he still is unsure unless he literally sits the mice next to it's girth.

Opinions?

Also it recently had a bad shed (first shed home) there were pieces everywhere they said. They do have a large water bowl, my cousin said he sprays him every so often...any ideas?

Re: Is adult mice enough for this python?

My BP is 24" last measure and 370g. When I bought him he was 260g and the pet store was feeding him wean rats. I'm still feeding wean rats once a week. From what I've read it's good to switch them over to rats as soon as possible due to the taste and meal size when he is full grown he will be needing rats and some snakes don't like the change as much. I'm sure others with more experience will chime in.

What is the humidity in his cage? I keep mine 50-60% during most of the time and bump it up to 70%ish when I see has gone blue. His first shed for me was in a few pieces but came completely off him eyes, tail etc. He shed in his hot hide so it took a few days for me to realize he had finished. This will be his second shed so we'll see if it goes smoother.

Adult mice or rat pups. Length of snake is less important than weight.
