Post shed pictures, Loving it. (Purple)
My latest addition shed this morning, so i attempted to make some proper pictures. His color is really hard to capture! (Depending on the lighting, it varies a lot) His name was/is supposed to be Hercules, but my so seems determined to name him Zuko.. We'll see, not like he will listen anyway!
How can i not love that little milk mustache!
Posing on one of my katana's. (Zangetsu)
Very fond of his neck pattern.
Posing with one of my other katana's, (Sode No Shirayuki)
Love how strangely the purple seems to reflect the light.

He really is stunning and I know what you mean about capturing the true colours, it can be a bit frustrating

That's where post-processing programs come in. Cameras don't always get it right. I use lightroom to edit my photos to get more accurate representations.
This is the photo straight out of camera. The color is a bit pale and there seems to be a slightly gray overcast on him.
Here I slightly tweaked exposure levels, saturation, vibrance and white balance. This is looking much more like the snake in person.

Thx Shaun !! Hope you can convince your wife some day, (and i love my collectible swords!)
Thx Mikoh! Love that contrast as well.
I did adjust the brightness and resize/sharpen, tried your advice on one of the pictures using Gimp.. Tweaked the white-balance, changed the levels a bit. The purple does look better, éh.. i probably need practice Adjusted picture

Re: Post shed pictures, Loving it. (Purple)
it's a high quality replica of Sode No Sirayuki, Got a few anime replica swords! The black one is pretty special as well, Tensa Zengtesu is as tall as i am (1,77m).
Haha, i just googled Sode No Sirayuki to find a picture, found several pictures of Loki (burmese python) which i photographed on the same sword.

Ahhh, I want one. I'm building resentment for you and Dave.lol. Although I might have a new addition coming soon.... I've never seen a photo that truely captured a purples colors.
Nice swords, should have figured you'd like swords. I took some kenjutsu classes in my teen years and use to participate in tameshigiri "party's" quite a bit. I've only got my old cutting workhorse now and haven't cut anything in probably 8 years. Might have to find some tatami or some beach mats.

He looks stunning.
I have a program that came with my camera that lets me edit my pictures. The thing i use the most is the auto correct. It fine tunes the lighting, sharpness and such.

What a looker. Camera work on fleek as always. You need to find him a chubby uncle who likes tea.
