Rosy EATS Blanket!
My Rosy, Pepper, has an insane appetite. She's been trying to eat this blanket on my bed for 30 minutes now. She has not gotten it in her head to give up! I haven't been teasing her or anything. She has done this two times before but she gave up after a few minutes. Geez.

Re: Rosy EATS Blanket!
If I fed her every time she was hungry like this she would be obese. It only takes her two-three days to get this hungry and she already eats large meals (she gets a big bulge in her stomach). She is a healthy snake with her current feeding schedule and growing/shedding steadily. But insane appetite! I have to use a hook when I take her out, because almost every time I open the cage, she's "starving" and I look like a giant drumstick to her. She stalks me like prey the majority of the time. Once in awhile she even strikes at the glass when I walk by.
She actually never gave up on trying eat the blanket. After an hour of constricting it, I pinned her and forced her off. I hate doing that, but she needed to let go of the silly thing. She was tired afterwards, which allowed me a little bit of handling time with her without having to worry about getting bit. She rarely gets handled because of her feeding response. Everything is food to her!

Re: Rosy EATS Blanket!
I'll bet there's some smell on that blanket that she associates with food. Someone must have relations on that blanket! LOL!!!

Re: Rosy EATS Blanket!
Um I don't know about "relations". I'm single and I wash my bedding regularly. Maybe she likes Woolite detergert. I'm a neat freak. Or She just wants to eat me. It probably smells like me and she does try to eat me. I am food. Either way, she is just a hungry, hungry snake!

Re: Rosy EATS Blanket!
How old is she? Is she still growing? If so, you can feed her more often. If she is full grown, I do understand your predicament because I realize the obesity problems that rosies can have.
