Feeding skinned prey animals.

A friend of mine uses fur to make fishing lures, and asked me if he could skin one the rabbits i feed since he was out of moles. He skinned one rabbit, leaving the all the underlaying skin intact so it wasn't bloody, and the insides stayed in place. He also left the head/legs on, only took the back/belly skin off. It's not very bloody or anything, the snake didn't seem to mind. As soon as it found the head it went right down the hatch (it did look a bit creepy).. I should of taken pictures, didn't think of it. Anyone ever done this before?
