Broke my reptile slider, would like help fixing it.
So. I bought a used 48x18 low slider for $100 on craigslist today. I get home and immediately decide to clean it out. When I went to dump the water out, the sliding door fell to the other end and obliterated both sides of the tank. I would like to be able to replace the broken glass with something else, and still have the tank function correctly. I have no idea how to get started or what I should do. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this?

You could always get a nice fitting piece of the glass, and silicone it over the broken piece from the inside so the animals dont have access to the sharp edges. Will look like shiet but it'll function. Or do wood.

strip out all the silicone, take apart panels. Go get some sheets of glass cut to replace the broken peices. Then put them back together with silicone.(You can use tape to hold the panels in place before applying the silicone. There are many youtube videos on how to do this.
