Photobombed

Headed out my back door I was on my way to take another stab at catching a photo of a Yellowbelly Racer that had eluded me the day before when I saw a shedding Green Anole just a few steps from the door. I stopped to snap a quick shot when out of no where a Rough Green Snake appeared in the background. I couldn't open and close the shutter fast enough, desperately trying to squeeze as many shots as possible into a tiny window in time. I was more than a little frustrated that the Rough Greens tongue flick was partially obscured by the leaf but what are you gunna do. Guess I can't blame this one on my cheap little camera lol.

Re: Photobombed

That shot is about 1 in a 1,000,000. Very nice timing and I agree good luck in topping that. Did you stick around to see if the anole made it out alive?

Re: Photobombed

Thanks y'all. Rough greens are primarily insectivores, it showed no interest in the Anole. Just happened to be passing by.

Re: Photobombed

That photo is so cool. Very fortunate timing to have been there at that particular moment. As a resident of NYC, my herp sightings (excluding my Haitian Boa) are limited to various turtle species living along the Bronx River in and around the Bronx Zoo / NY Botanical Gardens. I try to make up for it when I visit the in-laws in South Florida, though.
