New snake Tuesday... Gone wrong.(kinda long)

Ok.. Where to begin. Some of you will remember I got a pure "jampea" male a few months ago to breed to my female pure jamp in the future. Well, he was a pure kayuadi not a jamp (very similar looking, the islands they come from you can see one while on the other. And the scale count is the same as both are B. R. jampeanus). After I figured out he was a kaydu I started my search again(I sold the kayuadi to a freind after quarentine).

I found a 12 foot 25lb sometimes aggressive male, and an 8 foot 10lbs male that is clam. I whent with the the smaller male because he's more appropriately sized, as my female is on the smaller side considering her genetics(found out during my search she was produced by Jason gaspar, not Bob Clark who I got her from). After a long wait for better conditions I got him in last Tuesday.

I noticed after he was in his cage for a bit that he had some swollen scales. Turns out he has a 12 or so inch burn on his belly. I got ahold of the guy and told asked him about the burn. He told me he didn't know about the burn. The male had been in a friend of his possession for a couple days(he had mentioned this to me previously), and that's where this must have happend and he didn't notice bagging him up. I took him to my vet ASAP and he's now on anti biotics, and getting silver sulfadiazine on the wound. The seller has reimbursed me for vet bills more then what we agreed on, and has promised money back if he were to die(the burn doesnt seem that deep so be should be fine) so atleast hes trying to make things right.

So that's where I'm at; treating an unhappy(turned out to be 9' 15lbs) retic trying my hardest not to stress him. Wish him luck for a speedy recovery.
