Tub ventilation

I searched the threads and never really found a definite answer to my question. I want to be sure I get this right.

This is my first time using a tub. I believe it is a 60 qt. I am not at home at the moment. I am curious of how much ventilation a snake needs to survive. I know with my tarantulas it is bear minimum, because there respiratory system is so slow.

I will be housing a young retic in this enclosure and do not want too high of humidity and not enough ventilation. I would be devastated if she suffocated.
Currently I have the tank set up with no holes as a tester and I checked after 32 hours and the temp and humidity are as fallow: on the hot side I have about 82 deg from belly heat. On the cool side I'm about 70-75 deg with a humidity level of 80 percent.

I was thinking four 5/16" holes low on the cool side and four high on the hot side. In my theory that would allow natural air flow.

Anyone with experience in using tubs please chime in and give me advice that has worked well for you.
