Pulled out GTP fang

I noticed my GTP mouth was slightly open today and thought this was odd so I took him out to see if there was something wrong with him and I noticed he had what looked like some rat fur sticking from his mouth. I managed to pull it out and it was one of his fangs, must have broken off when I feed him 2 nights before. I'm worried because his mouth where the fang broke off seemed a little swollen. Can this cause infections? I hope its just swollen and will be unnoticeable in a few days. Ill get a picture of it the tooth soon

To my knowledge, yes Infections can occur.

Yes it COULD get infected, jus t make sure the rest of your parameters are good (temps, humidity) so as not to stress him. This is pretty common in wild snakes, especially with such dagger like teeth in the gtp!
I'd also wait a few days to feed, make sure there is no swelling, inflammation, discharge etc.
It will probably be fine

Not to be nit picky, but GTP do not have fangs. They have large canine type teeth. The tooth will grow back, as they loose teeth all the time. It can get infected, but as mentioned already, if your enclosure is clean, it should be OK.

Actually, by definition, these are still fangs. A fang, as defined by several dictionaries, is a long and sharp tooth.

That may be true, but when talking about snakes, a fang is a tooth that helps to inject venom. There are many definitions for many words, but they have to be use in the correct text.
