Hello,

The largest of carpets are the coastal that can ussually reacha good lengh fo 8 to 10 feet full grown . but I have seen bigger .. but many of the other species are much smaller at 5-8 feet depending on lacality .. (IJ, Jungles, New guinea ..)

As for temperment ... Ive hear many say they are vicious .. personally . I have never seen a carpet python with a bad temperment but I do know there are a lot out there.. The trick is ti get a CB neonate or Juvi and work from there .. I garantee it will be tamed as an adult ..

Do they borrow .. I have never ever seen any of mine borrow .. but what i can say .. My coastal .. althought they are not true arboreals love to play in the trees and travel arond .. Branches are a must for them althought They will do well In a horizontal set up .. I just think they prefer the vertical set up .. mine anyway!

I have a pair f balls and a pair of coastals .. personally i find the carpets easier to care for for the simple reason that they are the greates feeders ever .. but my balls stress the chit out of me .. they never eat! Very easy snake to care for .. Personally my favorite type of snakes ..

Just make sure to use tongs when feeding them cause they have CRAZY teeth and if ever they gat you .. boy oh boy .. will you regret it! After being constricted will feeding .. I now alway use metal tongs!

Hope it helps ..

Check out some of the care sheets .. there are tons of them on the web ..

Ciao
Dom
