I purchased a Savannah Monitor for son did some research only to discover the pet store owner had no idea what he was talking about. I could really use practical insight on enclosure set ups for an 8" Savannah monitor. Should I use a mister for humidity control etc. How should I set up his cage etc. Also pics would be very helpful thanks
Follow the advice on these websites, build the biggest enclosure that you can efficiently heat and get the lizard in there sooner rather than later.

I sure do hope that the pet store owner did not lead you to believe that you are in for an easy ride.
Savannah Monitors are a handful when properly taken care of. Their housing requirements are not exactly an over the counter purchase. All of the serious keepers have custom built enclosures. Here is a quick photo of my current set up.
read over my web sites, I don't mind answering questions.
