Question Timor Monitor "shopping list"

I am thinking about getting 2 timor monitors and housing them in a 36x18x36 exo terra. I am making a river bank setup with partial land and the majority aquatic (much like the jduenas Chinese water dragon setup). Of course it is an arboreal species so the cage will be oriented with branches for their climbing needs. What I need is a specific "shopping list" on good items for heating and lighting materials. Also, is the timor species a problem eater??

Two Timor monitors in a 36x18x36? You have to be kidding me.

Re: Timor Monitor "shopping list"

Hi, the first item on a shopping list is a proper enclosure that will provide the conditions the animals need to thrive, the type you mention is not suitable at all!
You are best making the enclosure yourself (or have someone do that for you).
Also, unless you know they are a pair (male and female), it`s not advised keeping them together, more especially in a tiny matchbox.
Is this the first time you`ve kept a monitor?

I don't mean to be rude but have you done any research? An adult Timor monitor will be around two feet long. A two ft long lizard in a 3 ft cage..... It doesn't make any sense.

You could house a storrs or something in there haha

I think for a timor you might want to have like a 4 x 4 x 2 (2 being depth). Alot of the length is the tail, a two foot timor is not the same as a two foot sav.

what are you interested in or what would you be willing to take care of? I can think of a few lizards and snakes that are semi-aquatic but it depends on how big of an enclosure you are willing to provide.

Thank you for taking the advice without lashing out.

I applaud that.

So many people just argue and go do as they please.

I wish we had more people like you around.

Something like a 100 gallon tank, I want something semi-aquatic.
