What husbandry mistakes irritate you the most?

I know I'm being kind of big headed, since I was taught how to take care of Bp's long before I had my own, but there are some husbandry mistakes that just irritate the heck out of me. What gets on my nerves the most is when people don't know anything about the proper temp and humidity levels for their specific pet. I mean, is it too much to ask that people do a few minutes of research (that could potentially save them from HUNDREDS of dollars in vet bills)? Grrrr >:P

These aren't really mistakes.

Feeding too often.

When people ruin a perfectly good cage, that's set up proper by putting a Ball Python in it. LOL

when people are irritated because someone doesn't know as much as they do about caring for reptiles...as if there was never a time in their lives that they didnt know anything about caring for reptiles

I accept all mistakes as "newbie" = big deal. It's the repeated mistakes when the person was informed that bug me.
Eg...my snake has mites....get PAM....I used mineral oil and killed the mites ....a few weeks later....my snake has mites again now what? = facepalm.

Or how about when that noob argues with you saying they know how to kill them because they got them all last time.

This.

Mistakes are mistakes, we learn from them. it's the truly ignorant that irritate me, you made a mistake, so what.... ask me for help, ignore me and repeat the mistake, then I am not so happy anymore..

Re: What husbandry mistakes irritate you the most?

The biggest mistake I get frustrated at is when people make the initiative to ask for advice (assumingly with the intent to AVOIDING a husbandry mistake) then proceed to ignore all advice given and make the mistake anyway.

Not putting a guard on a ceramic heat emitter, it's pretty obvious of the dangers after 10 minutes of plugging it it.

Re: What husbandry mistakes irritate you the most?

My vote is also seeking out advice, ignoring every last word of it, then seeking advice for the issues that could have been avoided by listening to the original advice given. Grr.
