Well, I'm gonna try this again...
Having never found my escaped retic....(still totally bummed) http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/giant...need-help.html
I had an opportunity to get a new retic juvenile. This is a 2013 50% Jampea female. She's 266 gms and gorgeous (to me)....Very calm to hold. Looking forward to see how she develops....

I was thinking about how much I wanted a retic today. Very nice mate, congrats. Now you've filled the retic void youve probably had since you lost the last one.

Very beautiful jamp! She's gonna be a beast! What are you gonna do if you find your old one? When I was younger, about 10 yo, I lost my ball python for almost a year until one day it knocked over some toys off my shelf in the middle of the night.

If I find my old one....I'm throwing a party and all of you are invited!!!! Seriously, I will be ecstatic and buy a lot more rats. I am still hopeful she'll pop up somewhere. I really hope that scenario plays out Ivanator...just out of nowhere, she just "shows up"....

Re: Well, I'm gonna try this again...
Before you think about another snake you need to know how the other one escaped and be 100% sure it wont happen again!!!! I didn't read the other thread so if you have already done this, good job. I love Retics but have never found one that was mellow and liked to be held. Everyone I have had were snippy little buggers!!!!! lol!!!!

Re: Well, I'm gonna try this again...
The escape was my fault. If I do my part, it will not happen again. As far as retics go, so far I am 3 for 3 in terms of being able to handle. The escaped one was very tolerant, the two new ones, though just recent hatchlings, are exceptionally calm.
