this new snake is trouble

This friends snake keeps "throwing me curveballs. It has eaten good twice now but tonight it has been trying to eat the mouse sideways for more than a 1/2 an hour. It struck fine and did the constrictor thing for very long but ever since it has been trying to eat the mose it has been painful to watch. I do not want to interrupt as I am trying to get it ti eat more often.

Any suggentions?

Now it is really trying to eat the mouse sideways. Its jaws are extended much further than I though possible. It there a good way to iterrupt feeding? do I need to?

**** luck no one was on to help you earlier.

I imagine the snake has already gotten the damn mouse in him, or possibly just thrown it back up, but what type of snake is it?

Usually, they figure out which way is up. NEVER interrupt a feeding, they'll either eat it, or just give up and figure it out next time. I would also try feeding a similar sized rat instead of a mouse if you can. I'm guessing my half-hearted visits here are never often enough for immediate help. If anyone REALLY needs assistance with an emergency, I can be had by e-mail at michael@strictlyballs.ca.
