Is saltwater driftwood ok for my beardie?

My girlfriend brought me back some driftwood from the east coast and I wanted to put it in my cage.... But I was just out there and my grandma told me that I can't take any rocks for my cage because the salt will never come out?

If I soak in Bleach/water and then bake should it be ok??
