bitis gabonica X

I was wondering how you tell gaboon crosses from pure eastern and westerns? I see them advertised sometimes on ks but how do you tell em apart from the others?

Thanks~

Its not that easy but normaly the crosses are intermidiate between the two subspecies and if you can find the typical markings and other characters for one of the races there is a good chance.

e.g. B. g. gabonica has a broud triangular spot under the eye that is devided.

B. (g.) rhinoceros has a smaler one undivided and a bit more caudal to the eye. The nasal horns for wich they are named can also be absent but if they are well developed...

regards

Maik
