Beardie trying to escape?
I have a wonderful little girl with three paws named Tripod. I recently moved her from a 40 gallon tank to a 4x2x2 melamine enclosure. Since she went in she has been pawing and scrabling at the plexiglass corner trying to get out. why is she doing this? She has enough room but I am worried that her stump is going to get damagedon the ledge of the wood.
Any ideas?

I have 2 guesses, either she is feeling stress from the move to a new home or she sees her reflection in the glass and that is stressing her out.
Try taping some dark paper over the area where she scratches to see if that stops her from fighting her reflection. If it's stress from the move really only time helps that.
If her stump is healed over she shouldn't do any real damage to it. I also love her name.

lol, thanks! I got her when she was just a baby, someones adult got into a tank of babies and she lost a bit of her tail and a paw... her sister suffered broken ribs and a broken arm. Both survived and Tripod has really done wonderful! lol, even has a calm disposition!
I will try taping some paper to the door to see if that helps... poor baby, I expected her to be thrilled about the bigger cage!

Quite likely she will be very happy, but herps are notorious for hating change. Sometimes it takes a few days or weeks for them to be overjoyed.
