Candoia specific tips on switching to pre-killed rodents?

I got good news; my neonate Solomon Island Ground Boa finally had his meal after shedding!

Bad news is that he'll only notice live mice.

Are there Candoia specific tricks I can use to get mine to notice pre-killed mice?

I've read about the "heating up" trick by dipping them into hot water but having absent heat pits, I'm not sure how this would apply to Candoia boas.

I'm glad he ate for you. I don't keep boas but good luck on getting him to switch him to f/t.

To be honest I would not rush it. Plan ahead by all means but the important thing is it's feeding and that's an achievement.

I've not heard of any tips specifically relating to Candoia sp. but can ask achievement as I know a couple of breeders.
