This week Living Gems profiles Citrine. Citrine was born in August 2009. She was acquired due sharing a bloodline with Topaz, a gorgeous female we unfortunately lost in the madness of 2011; she is also half-sister to Tiger’s Eye. We named Citrine, as with all Living Gems females, after a semiprecious gemstone.
Here is Citrine in May 2010, just after she arrived at Living Gems:
Here is Citrine as of August 2012, on the occasion of her third birthday. Note she has been a slow grower compared to her half-sister, and as such appears smaller. (And apologies for the slight mess under the stove. I put more care into cleaning my reptile enclosures than into cleaning my apartment.)

Currently weighing 1229, Citrine may or may not join our breeder ranks for the 2014 season. If not, she should be ready for 2015.

Love how dark and rich she looks inside, very nice.
And I know what you mean about cleaning, usually the snakes have a cleaner "home" than I do!
