he really is too old to be shedding like that but we couldnt find a reason as to why he was doing it. I measured his shed today and it was 6.5 feet long

It's funny cause I was about to proceed about asking his age. I guess that can be a little odd but he seems very healthy and gorgeous

hes about 2.5 years old. Hes had a lot of issues when he first arrived, one being completely INFESTED with mites. It took two good months of baths twice a day and PAM to get rid of them all. He is my beautiful boy, I am lucky to have him. I still have no clue what he is- he isnt like any hypo ive seen and Ive heard korbin say "paradox" but I havent a clue what that means O___o

Oh okay, I could still see sheds happening at that age. My 2 year old ball python still sheds about every 1.5 months but he only gets fed a medium rat every 2 weeks. Sounds like he got into the right hands though. You brought him back to health and I must say that his orange markings are quite beautiful and very saturated. I guess that could be the paradox part that Korbin was talking about?

Im glad I decided to get him, his blood cell level was low when I got him on top of that he had an RI caused by stress from the mites. He is 100% healthy now and plugging along. He gets a jumbo rat or pigeon every 14 days. As for his orange, yea, i think thats what korbin ment, that its not a morph but something that just more or less happens.

Re: Freshly shed
Yeah the paradox markings are definitely something that just happens and doesn't usually pass on either but it would be really cool if it did! I noticed the markings under his tail too, I love it! And it's sooo orange...is it actually that saturated in person?

I'm impressed! I don't think I've ever seen a Boa that orange in general. He seems like a one of a kind for sure!

Re: Freshly shed
Wow, he literally glows! Glad to hear all is well.
And pigeon? Never even thought of that one! (Of course, my species also does not get that large.)

Yea, locally in tucson there is a rat shortage, its harder and harder to find rats, the ones you do find are mangy looking and thin. So I found a guy selling BIG pigeons for 5 bucks a bird, and thats 3 bucks cheeper than the big rats.

Re: Freshly shed
Actually the orange patched are more of a calico characteristic.
