Boa breeding this year. I hope :)

Well last year I put my boas together and although lots of action and lessons for my kids but no babies. It was late in the season so oh well. Now 2 weeks ago my food eager male stops eating and becomes super active. So I figure he is smelling something so last night I paired him back up with my female sunglow.
He's spurring her like a wild cowboy!! I sure hope it happens this year. I just want one litter from these guys. My male jcp is not eating either. Guess its time.
Come on 2012!!
This morning. Lol

I hope so. I felt like a bit of a failure last year. Everyone posting baby pics and I had nothing. I guess it happens but I really hope we get some. We had jcps last year and the whole experience was awesome. The kids loved the whole incubator deal and their friends all came to see how they were. I assume live birth will be something to remember too.

The viv they are in is great. 6'x2'x20" with a thermostat and 120 watt radiant heat panel at the one end. Best viv they have been in yet. Best temp control too. Very acurate and steady. Thanks for the tip.

I guess ambient needs to be around 84 to make sure the female takes. I'm keeping that but still getting the 10 degree ambient drop at night. This is my first year going solo so I'm just passing on advice I've been given. I'll let you know how my litter turns out though.

Re: Boa breeding this year. I hope :)

ty for the update. When my boas slow down or lose interest, I separate them feed um and in 48 hours put them back together and they usually go right back to it. other boa sheds help, and extra humidity. hope it works out!
