The most powerful words in that whole blog...

Quote:
This is a community damn it and we need to start acting like one.
it's sad really.. The only reason Communism failed, is humans are wired all wrong for it to work.

He does a great job of stating the problems but he doesn't offer much in the way of methods to correct them.

Yes, it's an individual "sport", but other groups have been able to organize an effective lobby and support system. To a certain degree that is a question of numbers, but it surely doesn't help that snake keeping exists somewhat in the shadows.

My job is to inform not solve. I mean, don't get it twisted I would fix ALL of the worlds problems if I knew how but that simply is not realistic. At this point, one thing I am sure of. If we don't come together our future WILL be doomed, there will be NO community and there will be NO individual hobbyist. Thank you for sharing my link and thank you everyone for you input.

Good God! Go somewhere else! You spread false information just because it's" easier". We really don't need people giving out false info as that is what will bring this hobby to its knees.

Btw how is your "red tail"?

People have always bickered, and people always will bicker. I'm pretty sure the herpetological world's not gonna end.

i agree the Herpetological worlds not going to end,but it may get a lot tougher to keep the species we want, with your Government changing laws as we speak.....

and our European Government, pushing for new invasive species laws to be introduced...

meaning species that may thrive in some European Country's,being banned from Scotland, where they would die the first winter of there escape

re the UK
imo Herp Society's,clubs, etc need to stand together as one, instead of bickering amongst themselves, there are so called animal protection groups, attacking our hobby, trying for an out right ban...

reptile keepers need to stick together and focus on one thing.....

our hobby

cheers shaun

They also need to make sure that they promote education and use correct information. This hobby has no room for educationalists who knowingly give crap info.

Dig it up later? So are you accusing me of doing something that you don't remember? I challenge you to dig it up now and get it over with.

I posted the link to show your attitude. Now go find a farm to sell your BS too.
