So my three year old blotched kingsnake hasn't pooped in about 17 days. I fed him, he began a shed. During his shed I fed him again, he shed but still hasn't gone. How long is too long for this? Should I feed him again or wait? He seems okay other than this.
Some snakes don't poop after every single meal. If he used as much of the nutrients as possible to get him through the shed, he might not go right away. Usually if a colubrid hasn't pooped after 3 meals, then you can start to get concerned.
What is the humidity in his cage? Is there any sign of impaction- swelling in his lower half, straining as if to poop but nothing coming out?
