Ornate Uromastyx
Been letting this little guy settle in before showing him off.
Came to me in great condition, and is a little pig to say the least.
When I go down to feed him he'll come up to the glass to see whats going on. These uros are awesome.
his 4'x2'x2'

Re: Ornate Uromastyx
How cute! I love uros! I used to own a yellow Saharan Uromastyx back when I was a teenager. I loved that guy so much, lol. Great lookin dude! If I recall correctly tho, his basking spot needed to be like over 100 degrees or something ridiculous like that. Is it the same for Ornates?

Re: Ornate Uromastyx
Get ready for him to blow up! They get soooo fat but it's adorable.
Seeing your uro made me search the web for traces of my long lost uro and I can't believe it, but I found a size comparison of him that I posted on the internet back in 2003! Almost a full decade ago, LOL. The internet is a crazy thing.

This is only 5 months from start to finish (He was a WC from a reptile show)

Re: Ornate Uromastyx
I also have a wild caught Saharan, he looks like the first pick just not as yellow hoping he will get going better, had to start tube-feeding him critical care because he went off food a week ago.

My guy took a vet visit, a few weeks on some antibiotics and being left alone for quite a while to bounce back, but he eventually did. The WCs are in sad shape by the time they reach the pet stores and reptile expos. Make sure to get him the help he needs and I can guarantee you wont be sorry!

Cute uro! I really like my three saharans, they are great lizards. Your little ornate will look great as an adult.

Wild caught red Nigerian. Fat and healthy looking. They said she was a great eater and she's great with handling so far (though I'm leaving her alone for this week).

Re: Ornate Uromastyx
I'm gonna go ahead and make a thread for her so I don't hijack yours with photos.
