This is the second snake I have found right outside my backdoor like this within a week. This was a little grey ratsnake hatchling this past Saturday afternoon.
The first was a hatchling speckled kingsnake the previous Saturday night. Down with intrusive Mediterranean geckos, and up with snakes!
Cuuute! I think all of our snakes have gone into hibernation already...we had our first snow on the mountain a few days ago, and it's starting to freeze at night =[

It always amazes me when I see them crawling around bricks this way. Funny how things with no arms or legs can do this and here we are with arms and legs and we can't even hold on let alone climb this way.
