More of Mozart

I got a couple of pictures of Mozart today that I wanted to share. He's calmed down so much, and much easier to handle. He did poop on me today though. He will only eat out of his tank for some reason.

Also will be hopefully picking up a tangerine honduran milk snake tomorrow or Friday. I'm very excited.

I can't remember who it was, but someone suggested oreo pueblan, and after looking it up it seems like that's what he is.

He just won't eat in his tank yet for some reason. I wiggled the mouse and he struck at it a few times but released. He's also really quick so feeding him in a transport cage is easier. I don't want to make it a habit just yet, but it's only his second feeding with me.

Re: More of Mozart

It has the Oreo Pueblan look but the nostral coloration is strange for a Pueblan......

Re: More of Mozart

I noticed that but didn't think much of it, he must just be a hybrid?

Re: More of Mozart

The weird nostral isn't the main identifier as with a lot of campbelli now a days have a strong mottled nostral area. Due to not having any fresh blood for years. Even though I would have to agree it forms almost a faint "v". The first white band pretty much gives it away and would make me question it's purity. In campbelli the first white band does not move towards the front of the head underneath the eye and the jaw. It usually comes straight down. I would bet the underneath of the head is pretty much white. There is absolutely no way of telling unless you traced it back. Pretty snake though, good luck!
