Re: My first king
Thanks
And I'm not too familiar with the kinds of kingsnakes, I was told he was a "brooks king snake" but he just looks speckled to me.

He's actually neither he is an Apalachicola King Snake Lampropeltis getula goini And a really nice example of one! Congrats on that pick up. They are found in a small part of the Panhandle of Florida
They also call them Blotched Kings as usually they have blotches on them you have the Patternless or Striped version of them.

Re: My first king
Thanks I've been getting so many opinions on what he might be, and google doesn't help with dozens of different colored morphs to each. Do kings have a certain belly pattern to each species?

Re: My first king
That's a good looking Goins! A patternless, or maybe even a striped one. They start off with more pronounced striping as babies then it blends together, but I can still see a slight stripe down his/her back. They are very husky snakes, he looks good.
