New Okeetees!

Well, these little gals arrived this morning all safe and sound. I will post the pics from the website along with pics I took today. They have grown since the web pics! And it looks like they might have more of a Buckskin ground color. I am extremely happy with these little girls!

Re: New Okeetees!

It is very interesting to see the color change as they grow. You have a great looking animal there!

Re: New Okeetees!

Do they start off like that and change over their lives to what I linked? I really know nothing about corns.

Re: New Okeetees!

They do. Okeetees especially. Abbott Okeetees are VERY dark as hatchlings, and lighten up to an orange ground color.

On the two sisters I posted, you can already see how the colors have changed a bit. And it usually starts at the head and works down toward the tail. On the two snakes I just got, they are changing from a grey ground color to a tan ground color. And that could possibly even turn a different color as well.

LOVE these guys!

LOL! Do you plan on breeding corns?

Re: New Okeetees!

Nah, not a breeder. I just love the Okeetees. I am out of bins on my rack, so unless I build or buy another one, my collection is pretty set now.

Re: New Okeetees!

Well, I predict it won't be long before you are posting about a new rack.

Kernel, I can neither confirm nor deny your prediction might come true.
