Re: Pimped out tank
Are the statues hollow so the snake can hide? if not it needs hides in there.

I agree.. also be careful with the statue up front. If It has weight to it and can be knocked over the snake could beat it self on the head with it..
You should also cover 3 sides of that tank to allow the snake to feel secure.
Is that light in the middle it's only heat? If so that doesn't allow for a good temp gradient.

Re: Pimped out tank
OK, bad idea for a heavy body snake.
A small colubrid, great, but a heavy snake could knock over the Pharaoh into the glass and shatter it, get snagged on the pyramid point and damage the belly of the snake.

Re: Pimped out tank
It's a pretty idea, but it doesn't look practical. It doesn't look like he even has two proper hides in there. Like others have pointed out, the statue could be knocked over and could hurt your snake. If that light is the only source of heat, you might not be giving your snake a good temperature gradient to thermoregulate himself. I'd say add good hides, ditch the statue, and move the light to one side. It's an awesome idea though!! You can keep the pyramid and the sphinx and the log thing and the dish. It's gonna look even better if you modify it to meet your snake's needs

Re: Pimped out tank
I think it looks cheesy, rtbs are from the americas, not egypt, the pharaoh could hurt your snake, and there's no place for the little one to hide. Decent start, needs more.

Re: Pimped out tank
Neat setup, but not really ideal for the species in question, as has been addressed. RTBs are more tropical, central and south American snakes.
I have a hide that is a resin army tank for my cobra. He can hide underneath it, inside it, or poke his head out of the top. It's proven quite versatile and the snake loves it. Tall, thin furnishings tend to be knocked over and broken by boas, and they can hurt the animal or break the cage, allowing for escape, if they are knocked over too hard.
