Oxford University Natural History Museum (DUW)
Anyone that visits Oxford in the UK should take some time to visit this museum, it is 90minute drive from where we live but we visit regularly as it is so great - also FREE to get in!!!
We took the camera this time and i will pick through my favourites (took over 170 pictures between us and our daughter so cant post them all!!!).
Hope you enjoy looking
Butterfly/Insect collection
Iguanadon Foot
T-Rex head
Puffer fish that has been made into a helmet
Looks handmade but is NATURAL!!! (Lots of items like this you are allowed to touch/handle - daughter loves it!)
Prehistoric Fish Skeleton
Stuffed Savanah

Re: Oxford University Natural History Museum (DUW)
Lol - i knew someone would want to know the proper names of stuff!! The metall looking thing is a natural phenomena comong from volcanic activity but i cant remember what it was called.
Tiny dinosaurs latin name was Tinicus Dinosaurus
Would love to spend a good couple of days seeing everyhting there properly but with the hour and a half drive each way i am knackered before i even start looking at least with it being free to get in we can go back as often as we like tho

Re: Oxford University Natural History Museum (DUW)
man, so much awesome stuff, makes me want to head back to the university museum here for old time's sake. If you're ever in DC be sure to check out the Smithsonian museums, so much awesome stuff inside.

Re: Oxford University Natural History Museum (DUW)
Imagine if Dinosaurs were around today, we'd be their pets. They'd be breeding us and selling us at people shows. lol
That fish looks vicious man!

Great pics! I love the way museums are free in the UK; as they should be.
