Went herping today

My dad and I decided to go field herping for garters today. We used to go pretty frequently, but haven't gone in a few years until today. There's a really nice pond area close to our house with lots of tall grass and there are a ton of garters there. We were successful in catching 4 garters today, altough we saw many more that were too fast for us to catch. Here are some pictures that I snapped with my cell phone:

Aww, how cute! I've never been able to catch garters, always been too slow. Sounds like you had a lot of fun though!

That's a great looking Radix, did it just musk when the pics were being taken??

The cloaca looks freshly used..

Yep. The pictures are actually of several different snakes, but yes they ALL musked me! Haha.
