Looking to buy a snake...

I was looking to buy a snake of some sort but I am not exactly sure what I want. I was hoping for a boa, though a python would be alright too.

I was looking into bolivian boas, and salmon boas. Though I don't know if I can handle the size when they are full grown. Any information would be helpful right now!

Re: Looking to buy a snake...

its not so much the size itself of the boas, but the pure strength, a lot of the smaller boas that will hit 6ft as an adult female are a similar length to corns and kings, but they weigh an awful lot more in sheer muscle.
If its a boa you want for sure, then you could look in to the dwarf localities, like the crawl cay, other cays or the desert dwarfs, they dont get very big.

I don't think Nicaraguan Boas get all that big. Ball Pythons, Nicaraguan Boas, Kenyan Sand Boas, Brazilian Rainbow Boas, etc.

Re: Looking to buy a snake...

yup all comments are good. Those boas mentioned arent known to get. Sonorans. pure hog islands. Nics, central american boas, and mexican boas dont get as big as the columbians and true red tails anytime you get into morphs of the listed "smaller boas" the bigger your boa will be.
Its also how you feed, you can feed any boa into a monster if you really wanted to. So keep to a nice slow feeding schedule and you should be fine

google search "rtb ultimate care guide"
