Gorgeous Shaun! Are you running out of space yet? You could ship a few of your animals to me for safe keeping.

As with every snake in your collection, BEAUTIFUL! You really know how to pick them!. I really like the light coloration on these babies and their patterns are great. Congrats!

thats their natural colouration mate

re what are they ?
theres an on going quest to find out about these guys

you see theres 1 island with a border running through the middle

1 half = irian jaya
1 half = papau new guinea

the first group of these guys brought into europe have been tracked to a guy from belgium

he brought them in as reduced pattern irian jaya's

the thinking is he could not legally export them as png's

so re labelled them reduced pattern irian jay'as

a few of us are still waiting to hear back from the original EXPORTER but we wont hold our breaths as to him admitting the snakes are from an entirely different country than which he stated originally

they go by a few names over here such as
reduced pattern irian jaya's,new guineas,png's,ng's,poor mans jag,panthers

for comparison heres a female reduced pattern irian jaya imported from holland a few months back
heres the male

the male and female irians are both very high yellow.the picture of the male is more of a true idea of they're colour

re png's in my thread
our thinking is they are most definatley not reduced pattern irian's but a papau new guinea species

you now know as much as i do mate

anything you can add to our quest to find out the truth re these guys would be most appreciated

cheers shaun

one of them being a poor mans jaguar (much cheaper than coastal jags)

also
papau new gunea's,png's,ng's,reduced pattern irian jaya's,panthers

we are not 100% on the origin of these guys but the accepted theory so far is they are a group from papau new guinea exported as reduced pattern irian jaya's to get round exportation laws

they are definatley off the island irian jaya/papau new guinea

split by an imaginary man made border

carpets can't read maps though

cheers shaun

i won't know until they get delivered in the new year mate

i'm thinking they will be quite small

the irian jaya reduced patterns in this post are 2009's

these new guys are 2010

so imo will be much smaller

will get pic's with a sky tv remote in them as a size refference as soon as they arrive for you mate

cheers shaun
